Final Four Pick

We started with 64 and we are now down to the Final Four: Michigan State, Butler, West Virginia, and Duke. Three schools from power conferences and one mid major.

Michigan State and Duke's coaches: Tom Izzo and Mike Krzyzewski have been coaches for what seems like ages and have been here plenty of times before so they know how to handle the pressure. But this is Butler's first trip to the Final Four and West Virginia has not been to the Final Four since 1959, so we will see how they handle the pressure.

The first game is West Virginia vs Duke, this is how I see it playing out. Duke's Coach K has been here so many times I can not see him not having his players ready, but I also think that West Virginia will put up a fight, so I see Duke winning in the waning minutes 72-69.

The second game is Michigan State vs Butler, for this matchup I see another close one but this being Butler's first Final Four I see them starting out slow, because all of the attention but halfway through the first half they will start playing to their potential, but hopefully by that time it won't be too late. I see Michigan State winning 80-72

Now for the Championship Game, Duke vs Michigan State. The battle of probably the two best coaches in the past twenty years: Izzo vs Krzyzewski, I think this game will come down to who has the best gameplan and or also can change their gameplan on the fly as well. I see this game going back and forth throughout the entire game but I see Duke pulling ahead in the end because Michigan State will just run out of gas at the end. Without their best player, Kalin Lucas I do not see Michigan State able to pull this one out.

Well we are about one week from the start of the MLB Season. Here are my predictions:

AL CENTRAL:

Minnesota Twins: 88-74

Detroit Tigers: 87-75

Cleveland Indians: 82-80

Chicago White Sox's: 79-83

Kansas City Royals: 73-89

AL WEST:

Los Angeles Angels: 93-69

Seattle Mariners: 92-70

Texas Rangers: 83-79

Oakland Athletics: 81-81

AWARDS:

CY YOUNG: Jake Peavy P Chicago White Sox's

ROOKIE OF THE YEAR: Austin Jackson CF Detroit Tigers

I feel that the playoffs will play out like this:

Yankees vs Mariners - Yankees in 4

Twins vs Angels - Angels in 3

ALCS: Yankees vs Angels - Angels in 6

AL CHAMP: Angels

Once we hit mid-season I will update my predictions
